1902-S $20 MS64 PCGS. CAC. The 1902-S Liberty double eagle is an available issue in lower grades, especially circulated. However, examples are seldom encountered in near-Gem condition, and this is the critical tipping point for acquiring a 1902-S. Only 10 coins have been certified numerically finer by both major grading services combined (1/25). This coin certainly has the luster for a Gem. It is just a few tiny marks on the obverse away from an even higher grade, and the strike is sharp as well. The high quality within the grade is confirmed by CAC. PCGS has graded seven numerically finer examples. CAC: 7 in 64, 0 finer (1/25).
