Description

Appealing 1903 Gem Double Eagle

1903 $20 MS65 ICG. Rich peach-gold patination is tinted with whispers of greenish-gray and apricot and a well executed strike lends razor-sharp definition to the design features. A few grade-consistent marks do not take away from the coin's pleasing overall eye appeal. Large hoards discovered over the last few decades make the 1903 one of the most available dates of the Liberty Head type. Virtually unobtainable above MS65.(Registry values: N2998)
