Description

Radiant Gem 1903 Double Eagle

1903 $20 MS65 PCGS. The 1903 double eagle had a much lower mintage than its 1904 successor, and high-end survivors are far fewer. This sun-gold Gem example has vibrant cartwheel sheen and undisturbed fields. The cheek displays unobtrusive grazes, and the reverse has a trio of subtle orange freckles. Only two pieces have been certified as finer by PCGS (2/10).
