Description
High Mintage 1904 Gem Double Eagle
1904 $20 MS65 PCGS. The 1904 twenty was produced in large quantities (6 million plus circulation strikes), and hundreds of thousands of specimens are extant. Rich orange-gold coloration imbued with traces of mint-green and bluish-purple covers the lustrous surfaces of this MS65 coin, and an impressive strike leaves strong detail on the devices. Some hair-thin marks are visible on Liberty's cheek and neck. Housed in a green label holder. From The E.J. Mutton Collection of U.S. Gold, Part Two.(Registry values: N2998)
