Flashy 1904 Gem Twenty Dollar
1904 $20 MS65 PCGS. Jeff Garrett and Ron Guth (2006) say of the 1904 double eagle that it "... is by far the most common date of the series." PCGS/NGC population data would certainly corroborate this, as tens of thousands have been certified. The orange-gold surfaces of this flashy Gem yield dazzling luster, and exhibit sharply struck design elements. Both faces are devoid of significant marks. This is a wonderful high-grade type example.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26CY, PCGS# 9045, GSID# 9839)
