Description
Stunning MS66 1904 Double Eagle
1904 $20 MS66 NGC. CAC. The 1904 Liberty double eagle's reputation as the type coin of choice for the series extends even to the MS66 level; in the NGC Census Report, more than half of all MS66 double eagles that firm has certified have been from the 1904 issue. This shining Premium Gem offers remarkable quality, as demanded of the grade. The central devices are boldly impressed, and blushes of peripheral orange toning visit otherwise yellow-gold surfaces. Smooth and exquisite with only one tiny flaw warranting individual mention, this a pinprick mark just to the left of Liberty's nose. NGC has graded only one numerically finer survivor (8/09).(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26CY, PCGS# 9045, Greysheet# 9839)
