Description

1905 Liberty Head Twenty, MS62
Only 16 Coins Graded Finer at NGC

1905 $20 MS62 NGC. The 1905 Liberty Head double eagle enjoyed a limited mintage of 58,919 pieces and the issue is scarce in Mint State grades today. The present coin is a delightful MS62 specimen with lovely rose-gold surfaces and satiny mint luster. The strike is sharp in most areas, but there is a touch of softness noted on the letters in LIBERTY. The surfaces show remarkably few abrasions for the grade.(Registry values: N1793)
