Description

Low-Mintage 1906 Liberty Twenty, MS62

1906 $20 MS62 PCGS. With a tiny original mintage of 69,500 pieces, Q. David Bowers reports "the 1906 remains a key date in the context of later-date Liberty Head double eagles." The present coin has a better than average strike, with fine definition on the peripheral elements. The surfaces show pleasing satiny luster, with rich reddish-gold color. A scattering of individually insignificant handling marks is consistent with the grade.(Registry values: N1793)
