Description

Lustrous 1906-D Twenty, MS64

1906-D $20 MS64 NGC. Lustrous yellow-gold surfaces show glints of green and tan, and an exacting strike imparts sharp detail to the design features. Only minor marks keep this attractive piece from attaining Gem classification. The 1906-D is a condition rarity any finer, with just 12 numerically superior coins known to NGC (2/10), and as one of only two years in which Liberty Head double eagles were struck at the new Denver Mint, it enjoys immense popularity.
