Description

Attractive 1906-D Double Eagle, MS64

1906-D $20 MS64 NGC. Lustrous yellow-gold surfaces display traces of greenish-tan and an exacting strike imparts sharp detail to the design features. Minor contact marks keep this rather attractive piece from attaining Gem classification. The 1906-D is a condition rarity any finer. This is a very popular issue as it is one of only two years in which Liberty Head double eagles were struck at the new Denver Mint.(Registry values: N2998)
