Description

Impressive 1907-D Double Eagle, MS64

1907-D $20 MS64 PCGS. The lustrous peach-gold surfaces of this near-Gem display traces of light green. A well executed strike imparts sharper-than-average definition to the design elements, including the star centrils and Liberty's hair strands. A few minute marks deny Gem classification. Some 1907-D double eagles have been found in Europe, but most of these coins appear to have stayed in the United States (Michael Fuljenz and Douglas Winter, 1999).(Registry values: N1793)
