    Description

1850-O $20 VF30 PCGS. Though San Francisco is the branch mint most often associated with double eagles, the first twenties struck outside Philadelphia were coined in New Orleans. This well struck, moderately circulated piece is a representative of that initial issue. A touch of rose alloy visits the upper-left margins, while the reverse retains a surprising degree of luster.(Registry values: N991)
