    Description

    1860-S Double Eagle, AU53
    Nicely Preserved and Sharply Struck

1860-S $20 AU53 NGC. Glowing golden-orange luster complements well-struck surfaces that show scattered, mostly light abrasions. Both sides are better-preserved than might be encountered at this grade level. This piece is in a bit better grade than usually encountered for survivors of this production of slightly more than a half-million coins.
