1892-S Double Eagle, MS63+
Excellent Eye Appeal
1892-S $20 MS63+ PCGS. CAC. Medium S. David Akers once wrote
of this issue: "The 1892-S is more rare than the 1891-S as well as
any of the S-Mint Double Eagles from 1894-1907 except the 1901-S
and 1905-S." Today, collectors should be able to locate a nice
Select Uncirculated coin without trouble, though finer examples
prove scarce. Orange-gold surfaces radiate cartwheel frost from
each side. Eye appeal is excellent.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26C7, PCGS# 9021, Greysheet# 9952)
