Description
Luminous VF 1838 Eagle
1838 $10 VF20 PCGS. The 7,200 Coronet eagles struck in 1838 were the first circulation-issue examples of the denomination coined since 1804. This VF example, though clearly worn, retains subtle luster remnants in the mustard-gold surfaces. Well struck for the issue, though a few pinscratches appear around the portrait and a line of reed marks appears in the field above the eagle's neck.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 262D, PCGS# 8575, GSID# 9356)
