    1838 Ten Dollar, Charming VF30

    1838 $10 VF30 ANACS. A charming orange-gold example with noticeable remaining luster. The field near the profile displays subtle gray toning, and we note a thin mark between the TA in STATES. The first and scarcer of the two issues of the Large Letters subtype. The portrait also differs from its 1839 Small Letters successor. A scant 7,200 pieces were struck. Housed in an ANA cache holder.
