1841-O Ten, XF 45, NGC
1841-O XF 45 NGC. With only 2,500 pieces produced, this is the lowest mintage dated ten-dollar coin from 1839 to 1859. Of the few that remain today, the average grade is VF or less, and these usually come with heavy abrasions and marks. Our specimen is quite exceptional in that, it is a higher grade XF that lacks most of the normal, heavy abrasions, and still shows a small amount of original, reflective luster.
