Description

Scarce 1842-O Ten Dollar, AU53

1842-O $10 AU53 NGC. Most 1842-O eagles that are encountered are in the Very Fine to Extremely Fine range. Mint State pieces are extremely rare; indeed, NGC and PCGS have seen a mere four Uncirculated examples, none higher than MS63. The yellow-gold surfaces of this AU53 specimen are imbued with traces of mint-green and apricot and exhibit well defined devices. The few minute marks are undisturbing.(Registry values: N2998)
