Doubled Date 1843 Eagle in AU 53

1843 AU 53 PCGS. Triple Date, Breen-6861. A second example of this rare variety. This piece is finer by three points than another high grade Triple Date that we offered almost two years ago, and it is believed by the consignor to be the finest Triple Date in existence. This is a sharply defined piece that shows good remaining luster surrounding the devices. Rich reddish-golden color with dirty-gray accents on the highpoints of the design elements. Unquestionably original.
