Scarce 1843-O Eagle, AU55 NGC
1843-O $10 AU55 NGC. A conditionally scarce New Orleans issue, the 1843-O is not difficult to find in XF40 to AU50 grades but Mint State examples are very rare. The few Choice AU survivors provide an affordable alternative. This nicely struck and original Eagle is not unduly abraded and offers substantial canary-gold luster throughout the margins. Slender die cracks (as made) traverse the eagle and STATES OF.(#8589) (Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 262R, PCGS# 8589, GSID# 9431)
