Partially Prooflike Surfaces

1843-O $10 AU58 NGC. Variety 2. From a mintage of 175,162 pieces, the 1843-O is a relatively available issue in lower grades, but Mint State coins are rare. This attractive near-Mint specimen is sharply detailed, with lightly abraded lemon-yellow surfaces that show prooflike reflectivity in sheltered areas. Census: 50 in 58 (1 in 58+), 8 finer (12/13).(Registry values: N2998)
