    1844-O $10 AU50 PCGS. Variety 1. The mintmark is lightly recut on the left inside loop, and the upper loop of a misplace date numeral is barely visible in the dentils beneath the date. This AU 1844-O gold eagle is well-detailed with original olive-gold patina. Moderately abraded surfaces are to be expected for New Orleans gold of this period. Population: 32 in 50, 56 finer (7/17).
