Nearly Mint State 1844-O Eagle
1844-O $10 AU58 NGC. A bright and highly lustrous example that displays myriad tiny marks, none individually offensive. Although the mintage of 118,700 coins is relatively high for a No Motto Liberty Eagle, and examples are plentiful in lower circulated grades, AU and Choice AU examples of this issue are quite scarce. This issue is rare in Mint State grades and NGC has only certified ten higher than AU58 (12/07).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 262T, PCGS# 8591, Greysheet# 9432)
