Description
1844-O AU 50 PCGS. A somewhat scarcer early O-mint ten that is usually available in lower grades, but becomes legitimately rare in AU, with probably no more than 11-13 examples believed extant in that grade. This is a well struck example that shows almost none of the usually seen softness in the centers. The fields are bright, almost semi-prooflike, and the surfaces overall are peppered with numerous small abrasions. Trends $1,650.
