Description

1844-O $10 XF40 ANACS. The green-gold surfaces brighten to orange-gold shades as the coin turns into the light. The scattered abrasions are consistent with an Eagle that saw 20 points of wear, and a trio of toning spots near the center of the reverse are the only singularly mentionable blemishes. The 1844-O (118,700 pieces produced) is similar in rarity to the 1842-O and 1843-O.
From the David Bruce Collection.
