Original Surfaces
1845 $10 AU53 PCGS. This scarce Philadelphia Mint eagle
issue deserves more respect than it gets. Only 26,153 coins were
struck and probably only 110 to 130 pieces survive. The average
certified representative grades between XF45 and AU50. The appeal
of this example is its originality. Green-gold surfaces exhibit
soft, shimmering luster around the motifs, plus subtle reddish
