1845 $10 AU55 NGC. CAC. This low-mintage date (26,153
pieces) is unlikely to be located above the Choice AU level, or
maybe with patience and luck AU58. Mint State examples are
virtually unobtainable. The apricot-gold surfaces of the AU55
offering in the present lot retain traces of luster in the recessed
areas. The design elements exhibit strong definition throughout,
and the distributed small marks are within the parameters of a coin
that has seen light circulation. Census: 27 in 55, 11 finer
