1846 $10 AU55 NGC. CAC. Ex: S.S. Republic. With only
20,095 pieces struck, the 1846 ten is unsurprisingly scarce in all
grades. About Uncirculated pieces are rarely offered, especially
with CAC approval, and only a handful of Mint State coins are
known. This CAC-approved Choice AU representative displays sharp
detail and bright yellow-gold surfaces, consistent with the usual
look of coins recovered from the S.S. Republic. The surfaces
are moderately abraded but retain prooflike mirroring in the most
protected regions. Census: 12 in 55, 8 finer. CAC: 2 in 55, 0 finer
