Rare Date in High Grade
1846 $10 AU55 NGC. The 1846 Liberty eagle claims a low
mintage of 20,095 pieces and the date is seldom encountered in
grades above the XF range. This attractive Choice AU example is
well-detailed and the pleasing yellow-gold surfaces retain much
original mint luster. Prooflike reflectivity clings to the devices
and only minor abrasions are evident. Census: 11 in 55, 8 finer
