Description

PCGS 1846 XF 40. A much scarcer coin than even the low mintage of 20,095 pieces would indicate. The 1846 is a condition rarity with most of the known examples only grading VF or less. This is a rough looking piece that has numerous small abrasions and several long planchet depressions that run diagonally across the left half of the obverse. Reasonably well struck in most areas with some softness of strike noted in the centers. Trends $2,400.
