Description

1848 Eagle, MS61
Undeniably Scarce in Mint State

1848 $10 MS61 PCGS. While this Philadelphia eagle is somewhat available in circulated grades, Mint State examples such as this coin are scarce. Subtle iridescent colors play across attractive, semireflective surfaces that display soft mint luster and a sharp strike throughout both sides. Pleasing orange and lilac accents enhance the rich, antique gold color that easily transcends the few light abrasions indicated by the assigned grade. The eye appeal is excellent. Population: 6 in 61, 11 finer (10/24).(Registry values: N4719)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2633, PCGS# 8599, Greysheet# 9368)
