Description
Mint State 1858 Eagle--One of the Finest Known
1848 MS 60 Cleaned. A scarce and underrated date among P-mint tens, and an issue that can be easily lost amid the towering rarities that surround it. At the MS 60 level this is one of the finest examples known. Well struck overall, the fields are bright and semi-prooflike, but are unfortunately marred by a light cleaning. A few small marks are seen in the fields, none of which merit individual mention.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2633, PCGS# 8599, GSID# 9368)
