Difficult 1848-O Eagle, AU53
1848-O $10 AU53 PCGS. CAC. The 1848-O ten dollar becomes scarce to rare in About Uncirculated and exceeding rare in Mint State. PCGS and NGC have certified fewer than 15 Uncirculated specimens, some of which are likely resubmissions. Traces of luster show in the recessed areas of the yellow-gold surfaces on this AU53 example.
