Description
1849 $10 AU58 PCGS. Breen-6888, "very rare." Breen's "1849/1848", a prominent repunched date with remnants of the first logotype southwest of the second impression. Unjustly ignored by both the Guide Book and Cherrypickers', but listed as an overdate with a substantial premium in Coin World Values. The present example has ample luster, a typical strike, and a couple of moderate marks on the portrait.(Registry values: N991)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2635, PCGS# 8601, GSID# 9369)
