Not Sold Description
1849 So-Called "Overdate" AU 50 PCGS. 1848 first punched very high, then repunched with the 1849 digits. The diagnostic die crack shows from the rim, through the 4, to the neck. A very rare variety, this example has a great deal of remaining luster with a red-gold tint. It is somewhat weakly struck in the centers.
