Description
PCGS 1850 Small Date AU 50. Considerably scarcer than its Large Date counterpart, the Small Date of 1850 is very elusive in high grades and unknown any finer than AU. The bright yellow-gold surfaces are remarkably free from abrasions for a coin of this grade, with the only feature that resembles a defect being a long die crack at the top of the obverse. Softly struck on both sides. Trends $4,850.
