Description

1850 $10 Small Date AU55 NGC. Ex: S.S. Republic. The NGC Census lists just three Small Date 1850 tens from the S.S. Republic, although that 1865 shipwreck surrendered 46 Large Date examples. This is a pale gold No Motto eagle that has a good strike and shimmering luster near the rims. One field scuff near star 3 merits passing mention. Census: 14 in 55, 20 finer (2/10).
