An important condition rarity in the Liberty eagle series, surviving from a mintage of 176,328 coins, this 1851 eagle has brilliant light yellow surfaces with myriad trivial abrasions, and nearly full luster. Traces of prooflike surface remains, especially on the obverse. Census: 31 in 58, 18 finer (11/13).
