Description
1851-O $10 AU55 NGC. Luster glimmers from the borders of this straw-gold Choice AU No Motto New Orleans ten. There are no noticeable marks. A shield ring rests atop the second vertical stripe, and is always present on this issue. It is at the exact center of the reverse and is an anomaly of working die production, similar to the "earring" seen on certain large cents of the era.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 263B, PCGS# 8607, GSID# 9441)
