From the S.S. Republic Shipwreck
1852 $10 MS61 NGC. Ex: S.S. Republic. This wheat-gold
No Motto ten has extensive luster and is minimally abraded for the
MS61 level despite a graze on the base of Liberty's neck. The
centers are well struck though the stars and wingtips are lightly
brought up. Per the NGC website, the 1865 S.S. Republic
shipwreck yielded 48 examples of the 1852, with the four finest
graded MS61 (3/12).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 263C, PCGS# 8608, Greysheet# 9373)
