Description

1852 No Motto Ten Dollar, MS61
Rare in Uncirculated Grades

1852 $10 MS61 PCGS. CAC. More than two million double eagles were coined at Philadelphia during 1852, but the ten dollar production was much lower: 263,106 pieces. Not many were set aside, and today only a single example is known in MS63 or better grades. The present MS61 eagle has a good strike, and the motifs and legends teem with luster. Small marks are distributed, but none distract. Population: 18 in 61, 11 finer. CAC: 9 in 61, 5 finer (10/23).(Registry values: N2998)
