Description
1852-O AU 50 Cleaned. An elusive O-mint eagle that is not often seen in higher grades. The mintage was a mere 18,000 pieces, and almost all survivors are in the VF grade range with AU pieces such as this one being quite scarce. As usual, the obverse stars are flat, but the centers are well brought up. The surfaces are somewhat dull and hairlined from the cleaning.
