Well Defined 1853/2 Ten Dollar, AU58
1853/2 $10 AU58 NGC. FS-301. The fourth edition of the Cherrypickers' Guide says "the 3 of the primary date is punched over a clearly visible 2." These diagnostics show clearly on the present AU58 offering. Most certified examples are in the VF to lower AU range. Peach-gold surfaces display luster in the recessed areas, and a relatively even distribution of minute marks. Well defined, save for softness in some of the star centers.
