Description
1853/2 VF 35 PCGS. A very rare overdate ten of which Breen estimates only 8-10 pieces exist. We believe that perhaps the number of survivors is considerably greater, but none are known in mint state. This is an original piece that has a number of darker incrustations around the peripheral devices, including the date, but the downstroke of the 2 shows plainly within the lower loop of the 3.
