Description
NGC 1853-O AU 53. While one of the more available O-mint tens, in AU condition the '53-O is quite elusive with an estimated 17-18 pieces believed to exist today in that grade range. Typical for the issue, the striking details are somewhat soft on the peripheral stars and on the hair curls over the ear. The orange-gold surfaces are tinged with a bit of light reddish patina. There are a couple of more noticeable marks on the obverse but the reverse is quite clean. Trends $2,650 in AU 50.
