1853-O $10 AU 58 NGC. What few 1853-O tens survive from the original mintage of 51,000 pieces are apt to show considerable wear. In stark contrast, this important example displays boldly defined surfaces and original copper-gold coloration. Both sides show an overall scuffy appearance, but there are remarkably few sizeable abrasions for a circulated gold coin. To date, both NGC and PCGS combined have certified only 1 Mint State example, thus further enhancing the desirability of the present piece.
