1854-S $10 AU58 NGC. CAC. The San Francisco Mint began coinage operations in 1854 and struck a substantial mintage of 123,826 Liberty eagles. The 1854-S is always popular with branch mint type collectors, as well as series specialists. This attractive near-Mint specimen offers well-detailed design elements, with only light wear on the high points of the devices. The pleasing orange-gold surfaces are lightly abraded, with the high quality and eye appeal within the grade confirmed by the CAC sticker. Census: 74 in 58, 10 finer.
