FS-301, Misplaced Date
1854-S $10 Misplaced Date, FS-301, AU50 NGC. Ex: S.S.
Republic. An historically important No Motto Liberty eagle,
this piece was struck at San Francisco during the first year of
operation at that facility. This piece is from the dies of FS-301
with remnants of a dramatic misplaced date, although not identified
as such on the NGC holder. A nicely detailed example with
considerable light yellow-gold luster.Coin Index Numbers: (Variety PCGS# 145725, Base PCGS# 8615, Greysheet# 351849)
