Description

1855 Ten Dollar, MS61
Scarce in High Grade, CAC

1855 $10 MS61 PCGS. CAC. While the 1855 boasts one of the higher mintages for the ten dollar gold No Motto type, it remains an elusive issue in Mint State. This lustrous wheat-gold example displays scattered abrasions and moderate bag grime, the coin has a Mint-fresh look and the central elements are well-struck. At the periphery, the obverse stars weaken and are rounded at their centers. CAC endorsement recognizes the considerable natural charm of this Uncirculated P-mint ten. PCGS Population: 22 in 61, 13 finer. CAC: 9 in 61, 1 finer (12/24).(Registry values: N2998)
