1855 Liberty Eagle, MS61
A Mint State Rarity
1855 $10 MS61 PCGS. A substantial mintage of 121,701 coins
was the 12th highest of the No Motto type, making this issue a
seemingly common one, although Mint State specimens are rarely
seen. This piece has brilliant green-gold luster with frosty
surfaces and excellent design definition showing only slight
peripheral weakness on the obverse. Both sides have the usual quota
of trivial marks that are almost entirely insignificant.
